Fleet Technician
The Town of Paradise Valley is looking for a skilled and dependable Fleet Technician to join our team and help keep our vehicles and equipment running safely and smoothly. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving mechanical problems, and taking pride in a job well done, this could be a great fit for you. In this position, you will play a critical role in making sure our fleet is reliable, safe, and ready to support daily operations, in support of the Town of Paradise Valley's (Town) mission to provide high-quality services to a community that values limited government.
Specifically, the Fleet Technician:
To become the Fleet Technician, the Town requires:
A valid class D Arizona driver's license;
AND
Fleet Technician 1 ($27.38 - $36.51/hour)
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 2 years full-time vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair; or completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic may substitute for two years of the required experience.
OR
Fleet Technician 2 ($30.18 - $40.25/hour)
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 3 years full-time vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair; or completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic may substitute for two years of the required experience.
- 3 of the following Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
Certifications: - A1 – Engine Repair
- A2 – Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
- A3 – Manual Drive Train & Axles
- A4 – Suspension & Steering
- A5 – Brakes
- A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems
- A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning
- A8 – Engine Performance
- A9 – Light Vehicle Diesel Engines
OR
(Senior) Fleet Technician 3 ($33.28 - $44.37/hour)
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 5 years full-time vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair; or completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic may substitute for two years of the required experience.
- 5 of the following Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
Certifications: - A1 – Engine Repair
- A2 – Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
- A3 – Manual Drive Train & Axles
- A4 – Suspension & Steering
- A5 – Brakes
- A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems
- A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning
- A8 – Engine Performance
- A9 – Light Vehicle Diesel Engines
