Position Summary
Observe and monitor the pace of play of golfers to ensure they maintain their position on the golf course and maintain flow of traffic by driving around the course on a golf cart. Notify the manager/supervisor of any important issues and maintain lines of communication with the golf shop to ensure efficient course operations and guest satisfaction. Check golfer receipts and start play, distribute score cards and pencils, escort non‑registered individuals off the course, and assist in starting special events.
Provide directions, answer golfer questions about course rules, conditions, amenities, and cart policies, set up sponsor signs before tournaments, and remove debris to maintain course cleanliness.
- Maintain pace of play and ensure golfers stay on the course.
- Communicate with management and golf shop as needed.
- Drive a golf cart to control traffic flow on the course.
- Check receipts, start play, distribute score cards and pencils.
- Escort non‑registered individuals from the course.
- Assist in starting special events and lead groups to assigned holes.
- Remove debris and keep the course grounds clean.
- Answer questions about game rules, course length, amenities, conditions, chemicals used, and cart rules.
- Set up sponsor signs before tournaments.
- Provide directions to golf‑related areas.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Assist guests with disabilities and greet them warmly.
- Use clear, professional language in all communications.
- Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
