Paradise Unified School District is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Music Aide to support the music program at Paradise High School. This part-time position (5 hours per week) is ideal for individuals with a strong musical background who enjoy working with students and supporting creative learning environments. Under the supervision of a school administrator and certificated music staff, the Music Aide assists with instructional support, student supervision, preparation of materials, and musical arrangement activities that enhance the overall music program.
Key Responsibilities The Music Aide may perform a variety of instructional and program support duties, including but not limited to:
Assisting certificated music teachers with individual and small-group instruction in various musical learning settings Supporting student supervision to maintain a positive, safe, and effective learning environment Assisting with classroom and rehearsal setup, including organizing materials and equipment Preparing instructional materials and resources for music activities Providing feedback to teachers regarding student progress and participation Assisting with maintaining class-related records Arranging and scoring musical compositions Performing related duties as required to support the music program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Candidates should demonstrate:
Knowledge of musical performance, arrangement, and scoring Ability to sight-read and play four-part choral harmony Skill in operating music equipment (e.g., piano, computerized keyboards, or similar tools) Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff A patient, professional, and supportive approach to working with students Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Capacity to work collaboratively with certificated staff in a school setting Training and Experience Any combination of training and exper
