Special Education Instructional Aide – RSP Paradise High School

Help high school students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed! Paradise Unified School District is seeking a patient, dependable, and student-centered Special Education Instructional Aide to support students in the Resource Specialist Program (RSP) at Paradise High School. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with teenagers, values inclusive education, and wants to make a meaningful difference in students' academic and personal growth.

Working under the direction of certificated staff, the Instructional Aide will provide individual and small-group assistance to students receiving special education services in both general education and specialized instructional settings.

What You Will Do:

• Provide individual and small-group academic support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Reinforce instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, organization, study skills, and other subject areas.
• Assist students with understanding assignments, completing coursework, and developing greater independence.
• Support students in general education classrooms and specialized instructional settings.
• Help students use accommodations, assistive technology, and learning strategies identified in their educational programs.
• Encourage positive behavior, self-advocacy, responsibility, and appropriate social interactions.
• Assist certificated staff with instructional materials, classroom activities, documentation, and student progress monitoring.
• Maintain student confidentiality and communicate professionally with students, staff, and families.
• Help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Perform other related duties consistent with the position.

Qualifications:
