After school Educational Technician

Paradise Unified School District is seeking an After school Educational Technician to provide student support during the after school program at Paradise Ridge Elementary School. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with students and can provide positive, consistent support while helping children develop appropriate social skills, manage conflict, and make successful behavioral choices.

What You'll Do

The Educational Technician will work with students in the after school setting to:

• Support positive student behavior and school expectations.
• Assist students with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Use positive reinforcement, role modeling, conflict-resolution, and coping strategies.
• Help students develop independence and appropriate peer interactions.
• Provide behavioral support and redirection as needed.
• Assist with de-escalation and intervention when challenging behaviors occur.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to support student success.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the District's paraprofessional requirements through one of the following:
Associate degree or higher; 48 semester units of college coursework; or Passing the District-approved Instructional Paraprofessional assessment. Related experience working with at-risk students or families is desired. Experience or training in behavior intervention is preferred.
