Job Summary:

The Groundskeeper plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and curb appeal of our extended‑stay property. This position is responsible for maintaining exterior grounds, landscaping, common outdoor areas, walkways, parking areas, and other guest‑facing spaces. The Groundskeeper works closely with the General Manager and Maintenance team to identify property needs, address exterior upkeep, and provide a clean and well‑maintained environment for guests, visitors, and team members.

Work Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with flexibility for overtime or schedule adjustments based on property needs.

Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to):

• Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall curb appeal of exterior grounds and common areas.
• Perform routine groundskeeping duties, including sweeping, blowing, raking, weeding, trimming, and general exterior cleanup.
• Remove litter, debris, pet waste, and other hazards from walkways, parking lots, landscaped areas, entryways, and other exterior spaces.
• Maintain trash and dumpster areas and ensure surrounding areas remain clean and orderly.
• Maintain landscaping and outdoor areas in accordance with company and property standards.
• Regularly inspect the property grounds and promptly report safety hazards, property damage, lighting concerns, irrigation issues, or other maintenance needs.
• Safely operate, clean, maintain, and properly store groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and use tools, equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to established guidelines.
• Work closely with the General Manager and Maintenance team to address property needs and support overall property appearance.
• Assist the Maintenance team with basic property upkeep and projects as needed and within the scope of the position.
• Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests, vendors, and team members.
• Complete assigned duties efficiently and within established timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support property operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, or similar experience preferred.
• Experience working in a hotel, extended‑stay, multifamily, or other residential property environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of groundskeeping practices, landscaping, and exterior property upkeep.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools and groundskeeping equipment, including safe operation and proper use.
• Ability to identify and promptly report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or property concerns.
• Strong attention to detail with pride in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive property grounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to manage daily responsibilities independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced property environment.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
