Sales Manager, Business Development, Client Relationship Manager
Position Summary
The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for the management and development of new and existing business relative to product, sales volumes and profitability of the specified accounts assigned to him. The NSM develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets. Conducts RFQ review, MRB review, pipeline activity, CRM upkeep and follow through with customers and other functions in coordination with their project needs.
Initiates new product development. The NSM conducts contract negotiations with customers, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts. Attends trade shows. Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining customers and retaining existing accounts. Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided. Delivers sales presentations to key clients. Meets with key clients and nurtures a close personal relationship with those clients.
The NSM implements strategic planning in conjunction with Companies strategic goals and KPI’s. Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
- Four years of management experience or equivalence.
- Four years of strategic planning and management experience or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Assists with the planning of sales exhibits and attending trade shows.
- Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
- Keeps informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers.
- Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts.
- Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided.
- Answers questions from customers and handles complaints.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients.
- Meets with key clients, maintaining a relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Effectively manages sales budget for the assigned region and National Customers.
- Strategic Planning in conjunction with Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

- Requires up to 65% travel. Frequently travel outside the local area and overnight.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Competitive compensation of both Salary and Commission based on skill level and experience with annual review.
