Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and performs various tasks within the bakery.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers.
• Assisting customers with bakery purchases, taking special orders, and working with the Baker to determine items needing baking or decorating.
• Cleansing and maintaining shelves, display cases, and self‑serve displays.
• Hosing down floors with soap and water to maintain department cleanliness.
• Conducting rapid, detailed work in a fast‑paced environment while meeting physical requirements.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to the preparation, handling, and serving of food.
