We are looking to hire an exceptionally passionate, multitasking and detail-oriented individual that is self-motivated and experienced in supporting a transportation team with daily administrative tasks.

What will your job involve?
  • Maintain inter-departmental communication between our plant operations, sales, and field operations teams.
  • Using Nextraq, logs and other documents, track and monitor driver activity such as excessive stop times, excessive idling, and excessive speeding.
  • Work with administration and production staff to ensure accurate and efficient creation of manifests.
  • Co‑ordinate scheduled vehicle servicing and rectify equipment issues to improve vehicle performance as required.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with roadworthiness, vehicle cleanliness, and appropriate driver operation.
  • Prepare and print memorandums for effective driver communication.
  • Analyze route efficiencies to ensure optimum cost savings are achieved.
  • Ensure driver compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and rectify any non‑conformance or concerns regarding Health and Safety matters.
  • Ensure minimal errors are made and a high quality of customer service is delivered.
  • Ensure quality assurance of smart containers being unloaded and loaded into trucks pre and post trip.
  • Ensure accuracy of orders: review all load sheets and confirm quantities are correct prior to shipping in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Assist in implementing new processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Support projects related to the improvement of logistics processes.
  • Monitor commercial drivers’ Hours of Service and maintain DOT compliance.
  • Monitor and answer daily emails with vendors and customers.
  • Assist the Transportation Supervisor with any projects and tasks needed.

Working 50+ hours per week.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ experience of Transportation Support and/or dispatch experience.
  • At least 6 months of box truck driving experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of transportation/logistics practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of best practices for customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to be a strong team player and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

$66,731 - $73,119 a year

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
