Interim Senior Accountant – Manufacturing

Location: Bergen County, NJ (On-site)
Compensation: $40–$55/hour (depending on experience)
Duration: Interim / Contract (with potential for extension)

A well-established manufacturing company in Bergen County is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to support the accounting team during a transitional period. The role is hands‑on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can quickly step in to manage key accounting functions with minimal oversight.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements
• Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Lead and support month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
• Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies
• Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or standard costing (a plus)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
