Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
Job DetailsKey Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage tax engagements by coordinating staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
- Review and prepare complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Review quarterly and annual tax projections.
- Lead tax compliance and tax planning initiatives.
- Monitor client budgets, realization, and production goals.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
- Evaluate and improve tax department processes and best practices.
- Maintain quality control procedures throughout the tax process.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff accountants and senior accountants.
- Create and deliver internal tax and CPE training programs.
- Assist with business development efforts and proposals for prospective clients.
- Support special tax projects and technical research initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Active CPA License required.
- Master's Degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of recent public accounting / CPA firm tax experience.
- Strong background preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, and S-Corporation tax returns.
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and projections.
- Strong background managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Experience supervising, training, and mentoring tax staff.
- Proficiency with Pro System fx Tax required.
- Experience with Quick Books, Sage, and CCH Engagement preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Demonstrated success improving processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
