Senior Accountant

A reputable and well-known organization is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This is a newly created role and will be a part of a tight-knit team with a great work/life balance.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements. This is a great opportunity for a stable Senior Accountant looking for an opportunity to move up in a relatively short period of time.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.
• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplish accounting and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Calculate monthly accruals.
• Help prepare actual-to-budget and forecast variance analysis.

• 3+ years of experience.
• Public accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
• CPA preferred, not required.
