Scientific Services Intern

Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Scientific Services Intern to join the PRI Healthcare Solutions Scientific Services team. This position is located in our Paramus, NJ OR New York City office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote.

Job Overview:

Are you curious about how the pharmaceutical industry promotes its products to healthcare professionals? As an intern within our Scientific Services team, you'll gain exposure to the principles of medical writing and be at the forefront of new medicines and treatments. Assignments will primarily focus on writing, revising, and annotating promotional medical content. You will also assist with identifying supporting documentation, coordinating references, checking the accuracy of cited information, and developing pipeline analyses by therapeutic area.

Responsibilities:

* Help to create and review outlines and/or manuscripts for both branded and unbranded promotional materials

* Assist in marking up client feedback into our internal Workfront platform for assigned programs

* Support submission processes by helping to prepare annotations for medical, legal, and regulatory review

* Attend internal meetings (internal kick-offs, functional review calls, status meetings etc.) to learn about PRI's capabilities and products

* Create a presentation based on needs within the marketplace (topic to be decided) and a proposed new product offering that fills the gap

Skills and Requirements:

Applicants with a strong interest in learning about the medical communications space, with an aptitude for medical writing, a strong proactive attitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications include:

* Must be pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and entering the 4th or 5th year

* Must be able to start and end the internship during the scheduled timeframe - June 16th to August 15th and commit to 32 hours per week

* Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Shown interest in medical communications and writing
