Position Summary
Valley Health System, in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is recruiting a Pediatric Neurologist to serve as Medical Director of the Pediatric Neurology Program. The program provides consultation and professional services within the Valley Medical Group and Valley‑Mount Sinai Children’s Health Service line in northern New Jersey. The selected clinician will lead clinical expertise at Valley Hospital and the Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD), provide education and consultation to clinicians, clients, and community groups, and support broader community‑based services for special‑needs populations.
Responsibilities- Lead pediatric neurology care at Valley Hospital and KCCD.
- Provide consultation and education for clinicians, clients, and community groups.
- Participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, KCCD, and Hospital Committee meetings as directed.
- Conduct outreach to schools, childcare programs, parent groups, and other community programs.
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board certified in Pediatric Neurology.
- Existing or eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA, and CDS.
- Maintains CME credit hours required for Board Certification and/or hospital privileges.
- Experience in EEG interpretation is a plus.
- Experience or interest in managing patients with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills for clinical and non‑clinical audiences.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to advance and develop superior services.
