Job OverviewWe are actively expanding and looking for pediatricians to join our vibrant team of over 70 PEM providers. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, physicians evaluate and provide evidence‑based treatment to pediatric and young adult urgent care patients in both in‑person and telemedicine settings.
Job Responsibilities- Assess and treat acute injury and illness for in‑person and telemedicine patients, including febrile infant/child, ear/nose/throat infections, abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma.
- Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive.
- Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation of X‑rays with official radiology over‑reads (where applicable).
- Oversee in‑person and telemedicine patient flow and daily office functions, supervising other providers, staff, and trainees on shift.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes to management.
- Coordinate with onsite and telemedicine teams to complete daily tasks, including lab and radiology result review, patient follow‑up, and timely responses to patient calls and questions.
- Maintain a safe, secure, equitable, and healthy work environment by applying safety procedures, quality standards, and legal regulations.
- Keep patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Update knowledge and skills through internal training, continuing education, professional publications, and organizational participation.
- Assist the clinical team and patients with complaints and take an active role in service recovery when needed.
- Focus on efficiency metrics to improve in‑person and telemedicine urgent care flow, antibiotic stewardship, and patient experience.
- BC/BE in Pediatrics.
- Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience.
- Ability to critically think, multitask, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR (eCW experience preferred).
- Passion for pediatric healthcare and strong motivation to help children live healthier, happier lives.
$110 - $150 per hour, depending on experience and location.
