The physician will play a key role in shaping the future of Town MD while helping improve patient outcomes through high-quality, evidence-based care. This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about musculoskeletal medicine, rehabilitation, pain management, and helping patients restore function and improve quality of life.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate and skilled PM&R physician with expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of physical impairments, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The physician will work closely with physical therapists, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans focused on non-surgical rehabilitation, functional recovery, and long-term wellness. This role also offers the opportunity to help shape and grow our expanding medical services with future partnership potential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and functional assessments for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic pain conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s functional goals and medical needs.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions including back pain, joint pain, sports injuries, neuropathies, arthritis, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic evaluations related to rehabilitation medicine and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, orthopedic specialists, neurologists, pain management providers, and primary care physicians to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Perform in-office procedures and injections as clinically appropriate, including joint injections, trigger point injections, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications to improve long-term outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize recovery and function.
  • Participate in the continued development and growth of Town PT’s integrated rehabilitation and medical services.
Requirements
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification or board eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in outpatient rehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, or pain management preferred.
  • Strong understanding of non-operative treatment approaches and functional rehabilitation principles.
  • Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems for patient documentation and care coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong patient relationships.
  • Experience performing musculoskeletal injections and related procedures preferred.
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Strong organizational skills and dedication to improving patient outcomes and overall wellness.
