Position is associated with the terms and conditions of the negotiated Agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education.

Reports To: Principal and Supervisor of School Counseling

Job Goal: To guide students through the critical transition to adulthood by providing comprehensive college and career planning, vital social-emotional and academic support, and by serving as a strategic advocate who ensures every student meets success.

Qualifications: New Jersey School Counselor Certification

Salary: Starting salary of $57,547.00
Placement on the Education Association of Paramus (EAP) Salary Guide, in accordance with experience and related qualifications

Requirements: 1. New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate
2. Controlled substance testing and successful completion of criminal history background check are required of all applicants offered employment.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Education Association of Paramus.
