Sr. Accountant

Our Manufacturing client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their accounting department. The Senior Accountant MUST COME WITH MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE!!!

This Senior Accountant will support the Controller by overseeing general ledger activities, preparing accurate financial statements, and leading core accounting operations such as reconciliations, month-end close, consolidations, audits, budgeting, and forecasting. The role is responsible for developing financial models, generating management reports, maintaining compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations, and driving process improvements, including tax-related responsibilities. The selected individual will manage special projects as assigned and promote strong internal controls and efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy of account and bank reconciliations.

+ Oversee or actively participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycles.

+ Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare required documentation, and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.

+ Assist the Controller and CFO with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

+ Develop and maintain financial models to support analysis of financial and operational performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.

+ Prepare, review, and analyze consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements-including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

+ Generate financial reports and dashboards for senior management, with written commentary to support business decisions.

+ Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting functions and strengthen internal controls.

+ Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of federal, state, local, and payroll tax filings.

+ Take on additional duties or special projects as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.

+ Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, MUST HAVE Manufacturing industry experience.

+ Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools such as Jedox, Hyperion, Qlik, Power BI, etc.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization) and PowerPoint.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
