Hearing & Instrument Specialist - Paramus

Job Description

ENT and Allergy Associates, New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self‑motivated, people‑friendly full‑time licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser for our Paramus office.

Salary: $50,000-$76,000/year

• Patient Care:
  Assist in fitting and programming hearing aids for optimal performance, comfort, and sound quality; provide basic patient education on hearing aid use, care, and maintenance; address patient inquiries and concerns; assist in scheduling and conducting follow‑up appointments, including basic troubleshooting, routine adjustments, and cleanings; make follow‑up calls to ensure satisfaction with hearing devices.
• Administrative and Equipment Maintenance:
  Maintain organized patient records; handle packaging and mailing earmold orders, device repairs, and manufacturer/lab returns; maintain inventories of supplies and loaner devices.
• Support for Audiologists:
  Communicate with audiologists regarding updates on orders, insurance verifications, or prior authorizations; assist in completion of clinical appointments as needed.
• General Duties:
  Perform infection control duties; perform other duties as assigned.

• Team player; able to develop relationships with patients.
• Detail oriented; work efficiently; neat, professional appearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; cheerful attitude.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record system and word processing software.
• Familiarity with billing and coding; ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members.

• Active NY Hearing Aid Dispensing License.
