Position Summary
To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Education and LicensureBachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
Certifications and ExperienceCPR certification required. Experience with computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required.
Physical and Cognitive RequirementsPosition's physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including but not limited to physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling. The position is classified as Very Heavy Work per USDOL. Exerting in excess of 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, or 20 lbs constantly. Following NIOSH guidelines, average worker should not lift more than 51 lbs without assistance.
CommunicationSkills
Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity, understanding information relayed, deductive and inductive reasoning skills. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems, combine pieces of information, and produce coherent conclusions.
Additional CompetenciesConsiderable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing and photocopying required. Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, and shift tasks efficiently. Function competently in stressful situations and changing work environment related to acute, chronic, complex or terminal disease processes. Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members (MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc). Utilize effective time management skills to set priorities, perform responsibilities, problem solve and deliver care.

Pay Range: $47.80 - $59.75 per hour. Salary is based on role, experience, education, and licensure. The salary listed does not include additional forms of compensation or benefits.
