Imaging Tech Night

Position Summary

Reporting to and functioning under general supervision of the Supervisor, the Imaging Technologist prepares for a variety of radiologic procedures to produce images of the body for the diagnosis of pathological conditions and traumatic disorders.

• Operate radiation-producing equipment following specific physician orders.
• Produce detailed images of patients for diagnostic information.
• Verify patient identification process prior to imaging, select patient from worklist, and ensure exams are archived on PACS and completed properly in RIS.
• Maintain facilities in proper order.
• Keep abreast of imaging protocols and new imaging equipment.

Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program and registration by the ARRT, or registry eligible. Must obtain registry within one (1) year of employment. Practical experience as a Radiographer preferred; new graduates with certification considered.

• Registered in Radiologic Technology by the ARRT, a current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Physical dexterity to operate complex stationary and mobile radiation-producing equipment and mechanical accessories.
• Ability to work in sensitive areas such as the OR and critical care units.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vascular systems.
• Excellent interpersonal (oral, written, presentation) skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Ability to function independently and competently in stressful situations and changing work environments related to changing patient needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively within the health‑system and with multidisciplinary team members.
• Effective time management to set priorities, perform job-related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively problem‑solve.

Pay Range: $35.68 - $44.60 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on these factors. The salary listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
