Therapist Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care and therapy services to promote recovery and improve mobility. Support treatment plans through direct patient care, documentation, and equipment management.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physical therapists to implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care, including exercises, modalities, and assistive device training.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure proper equipment sterilization and maintenance.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy exercises and home care techniques.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with active licensure in the state.
• Prior experience working in a healthcare or outpatient setting preferred.
• Proven ability to follow treatment plans and support patient care objectives.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
