American Traveler seeks a Surgical Tech/ORT for a CVOR position requiring NBSTSA certification and open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery experience.

• CVOR unit performing cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and general surgery cases
• Call requirement includes one overnight shift during the week and every third full weekend
• May float to the Observation Unit as needed
• Requires proficiency with cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and robotic surgical procedures including CABG, TAVR, VAD, EVAR, TEVAR, and Da Vinci robotics

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with open heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection, and universal protocol procedures
• Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required
• One supervisory/manager reference dated within one year of assignment start required

• Assist with a wide range of cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and general surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere to fire, laser, and radiation safety protocols
• Perform specimen handling and labeling per facility standards
• Participate in Universal Protocol (time out) procedures for all cases
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,399 - $2,608. The $2,608 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
