Under the direction of the practice manager, you will be responsible for the administrative management of the off-site practice. You will open and close the practice location, function as the Medical Assistant for the practice, perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures, keep patient exam rooms, medication and medical supply rooms efficiently stocked and organized, coordinate inventory, ordering, and supply stock maintenance, arrive, schedule and register patients who present for care, receive and record accurate demographic, financial and insurance information for all patients presenting for care, verify all information and update the patient information in the computer as necessary, collect payments for deposits including co-pays and self-pay, conduct post service calls and follow up with patients, follow-up on no show appointments as directed by providers, address site issues and escalate as appropriate to Practice Manager, participate in the marketing activities and community outreach, participate in educational programs, quality improvement and in-service meetings, promote the mission, vision, and values of the hospital, and greet all patients, families, and visitors with a positive attitude.

Other duties include performing other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization. This position requires traveling to multiple off site practice locations for coverage in Englewood, Teaneck, Bergenfield, New Milford, Wallington, and Paramus. Varying week to week scheduling hours/ location assignments. The successful candidate will need to be willing to accommodate flexible shifts between the hours of 7am - 6:30pm (Monday through Friday) and be willing to float weekends between 10am - 6:30pm.

Position Qualifications include being a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from NHA, AMCA, AMT, having BLS Certification required, 3-5 years' experience working in an ambulatory care setting or private practice, proficient knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices and coding, proficient computer skills, proficient with MS Office Suites, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and bilingual candidates preferred. Spanish, Polish or Korean.

Education includes a High School diploma or equivalent required, 1-2 years of college preferred, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required, and Certified or Registered MA accepted.
