Position: Valet Attendant-(Cushman & Wakefield)

Job Summary

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with luggage, providing directions and information, and handling billing and claim checks.

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly base pay: $14.55 per hour plus tips.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, full‑time.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co‑workers, and clients; greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor and use guest last names.
  • Say the salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location; practice proper phone etiquette; leave the work area when not completing tasks.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely while driving slowly and cautiously; assist guests with bell services, luggage storage, and open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions.
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue and collect claim checks; complete and maintain ticket information, key tags, and claim check receipts; calculate and collect revenue.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

The role requires frequent talking and hearing, extended periods of sitting or standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, and possibly running. Equipment handling may involve lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly. Work is primarily outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold; weather protection may or may not be provided. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
  • Minimum one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes.
  • Ability to read and write standard English, comprehend instructions, write simple correspondence, present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of three‑digit numbers and handling U.S. currency); understanding of 24‑hour and military time; understanding of rates and payment procedures.
  • Manual transmission operation and parallel parking desirable.
Authority and Budget

Job is routine; decisions are made within specific operational guidelines. Employee has control over available resources only.
