Responsibilities- Assist in design, development, configuration, testing, and maintenance of Epic interfaces (e.g., Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, APIs) to external/ancillary systems.
- Monitor interface performance, troubleshoot data flows, ensure reliability, data integrity and compliance with standards/regulations (HIPAA, Meaningful Use).
- Work with data conversion teams on migrations, mapping of data, ensuring legacy systems’ data is integrated or replaced appropriately.
- Document interface and conversion workflows, mappings, test scripts, and collaborate with Epic functional teams, clinical teams, and IT/integration teams.
- Participate in Epic upgrades that impact integration, test interface changes, validate changes with test plans.
Other Duties - Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.
Qualifications- Experience in hospital/healthcare IT, interface/integration work, data flows, preferably Epic environment required.
- Good technical aptitude (knowledge of HL7, FHIR, APIs, SQL or scripting helpful) and strong stakeholder communication required.
- Certification or experience in Epic modules regarding integration or data exchange preferred.
- Prior work in a hospital’s IS or informatics team preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent) required.
