Job Summary
The Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting, implementing, and optimizing clinical and non-clinical applications across the organization. This role ensures effective application functionality, provides end-user training, and collaborates with stakeholders to improve workflows and enhance user experience. The Analyst serves as a key resource for troubleshooting, system configuration, and application lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities Application Support & Implementation- Assist with requirements gathering, system design, testing, and deployment of clinical and non-clinical applications.
- Configure backend application settings and maintain accurate process documentation.
- Research new software versions and communicate feature updates to users.
- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to ensure effective application utilization.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff for clinical and non-clinical systems.
- Create user guides and documentation for workflows and process changes.
- Serve as primary point of contact for application-related issues; troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
- Collaborate with IS teams and hospital departments to design and optimize applications based on organizational workflows.
- Gather user feedback and implement improvements to enhance usability and efficiency.
- Participate in multidisciplinary committees and project teams to align application initiatives with organizational goals.
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain familiarity with organizational mission, vision, and values.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for reports, presentations, and user interactions.
- Problem Solving: Analytical approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
- Customer Service: Commitment to exceeding user expectations and delivering high-quality support.
- Project Management: Ability to manage tasks across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting healthcare applications.
- Familiarity with clinical workflows and non-clinical systems.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- Office-based with occasional travel for training and meetings.
- Off-hours coverage may be required for critical updates or issue resolution.
