Senior Mule Soft Technical Business Analyst (Integration Analyst)

Our client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Senior Mule Soft Technical Business Analyst (Integration Analyst) for their Paramus, NJ/ Milwaukee, WI location.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading end-to-end business analysis for complex enterprise integration initiatives, driving requirement discovery through structured stakeholder interactions and translating strategic objectives into actionable functional outcomes.
• Developing comprehensive functional requirement specifications, including process flows, business rules, data mappings, and non-functional requirements with high emphasis on clarity, traceability, and testability.
• Collaborating closely with architects and integration teams to define and refine Mule Soft-based integration patterns aligned with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
• Facilitating requirement workshops, backlog grooming sessions, and stakeholder discussions to prioritize features based on business value, dependencies, and risk.
• Performing impact analysis across upstream and downstream systems to validate functional assumptions and ensure alignment of integration behavior and data contracts.
• Creating detailed user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria that reflect real-world business scenarios and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Working with development and QA teams to clarify requirements, support test planning, and assist in defect triage to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Analyzing existing business processes and identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and improved system integration to enhance customer and partner experiences.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation such as process models, interface specifications, and integration architecture overviews to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Supporting change management by conducting solution walkthroughs, preparing training materials, and ensuring business readiness for releases.
• Ensuring Mule Soft integration designs meet functional requirements, performance expectations, and compliance standards.
• Monitoring delivered features against requirements, gathering stakeholder feedback, and driving continuous improvement through iterative enhancements.
• Mentoring junior analysts and contributing to establishing consistent business analysis practices across teams.

Requirements include:

• Business Analysis & Functional Requirements Expertise
• Strong experience in requirement elicitation, functional analysis, stakeholder management, and documentation with clear traceability and business outcome alignment.
• Mule Soft Integration Knowledge
• Solid understanding of Mule Soft platform concepts including APIs, integration patterns, data transformation (Data Weave), and system orchestration in enterprise environments.
• Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams, facilitate workshops, and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
