Educational Interpreter
The Board of Education is seeking applications for the school year for the following position:
Educational Interpreter (10 Months Certificated). Visions Emerson
Qualifications:
Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher or meets current NJDOE minimum performance standards for educational interpreters. Associate or higher degree from an accredited college or university. NJDOE Educational Services certificate with Educational Interpreter endorsement issued by the state of New Jersey Department of Education, or willingness to work under an emergency certificate while actively pursuing full certification within two years of employment, in accordance with NJDOE regulations.
Knowledge and awareness of Deaf culture and the communication needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board deems appropriate and acceptable under state law. Compensation Rates/Ranges: $56,145 - $61,145 - Interpreter Level I & $60,645 - $65,645 - Interpreter Level II
