The Paramus, New Jersey office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing national Labor & Employment practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to expand their practice while working with an experienced and collaborative team representing employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters.
The ideal candidates will have at least 3-7 years of litigation experience with a focus on employment law.
Experience with labor relations matters—including collective bargaining, grievance administration, and arbitration—is preferred but not required. Candidates must be active members in good standing of the New Jersey and New York Bar

- Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions
- Consult and counsel clients, effectively communicate on cases, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and prepare and respond to discovery
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and other team members in building and executing successful defense strategies
- 3-7 years of litigation and employment law experience
- Experience with labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, grievances, and arbitrations, is a plus
- Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey
Bar and New York Bar in good standing - Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute pre-trial strategy, exercise sound judgment, and think creatively
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
Salary ranges from $135,000 to $175,000
, commensurate with experience, plus two bonus structures and a comprehensive benefits package.
