A well-established, high-volume automotive dealership in Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Director / Service Manager to lead its service department.
This leadership role is ideal for a proven automotive service professional who can drive service department profitability, technician productivity, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction while building and leading a high-performing team.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the automotive service department
Lead and support service advisors, technicians, and support staff
Monitor technician productivity, shop efficiency, service KPIs, and departmental profitability
Drive high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and service revenue
Manage service scheduling, repair workflow, dispatching, and repair quality
Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies, warranty procedures, and dealership standards
Collaborate closely with the parts and sales departments to support dealership operations
Resolve escalated customer concerns and maintain a positive service experience
Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and overall fixed operations results
Qualifications5+ years of Automotive Service Manager or Service Director experience
Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
Ability to analyze reports, identify trends, and improve service department performance
Strong focus on customer satisfaction, employee accountability, and operational efficiency
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
