Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Paramus, New Jersey. The position requires engaging with patients and staff in an obstetric setting, performing labor and delivery care, and ensuring patient safety.

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC)
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, assessing and stabilizing mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of labor and delivery nursing.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
• Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

• Technical/Motor: ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures.
