PreOp​/PACU RN

Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy Center of Bergen County

The Pre Op/PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients. The role involves continual evaluation of patient condition, maintaining safety, comfort, and privacy, assisting physicians with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques, and delivering comprehensive post‑anesthesia care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and discharge preparation.

• Provide continuous nursing care for patients in Pre‑Op and PACU settings.
• Monitor and evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as required.
• Deliver comprehensive post‑anesthesia care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family needs for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS if required by the center.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making ability.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6‑8 shifts per month.

USD $44.00–$50.00 per hour (wages are determined based on qualifications and experience).
