American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of oncology experience and prior travel experience.

• Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Willing to float to other units, including the Ridgewood Observation Unit as needed

• Active NJ or Compact RN license
• 2 years of oncology or Med/Surg oncology experience required (candidates with less than 2 years must have strong oncology experience)
• BLS certification required to start
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with no history of clinical or professional cancellations
• Must successfully pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 80% (no retakes permitted)
• Proficiency in systematic EKG rhythm interpretation, heart rate calculations, and identification of atrial, ventricular, junctional, paced rhythms, and heart blocks
• Skilled in IV therapy/infusions, accessing and managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, and administration of chemotherapy
• Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required
• One supervisory/manager reference dated within one year of assignment start date required
• Current Nursys license verification required

• Provide direct patient care to inpatient oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration and vascular access management
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at the local rate
• Candidates with New Jersey employment history within the past 7 years must provide verifiable employer details for compliance review
• Begin required lab work within two business days of offer acceptance to avoid assignment cancellation
• Orientation includes required modules completed pre-start, during orientation, and annually as needed for specialty
