Registered Nurse, Orthopedics

Position Summary

To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current and valid State of New Jersey nursing license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
• Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit‑based orientation.
• Computer and keyboard proficiency.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• BLS required.
• Physical ability to perform full range of body motion including assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to exert forces described by USDOL as very heavy work (exerting in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, 20 pounds constantly).
• Compliance with NIOSH guidelines for lifting (not exceeding 51 pounds without assistance).
• Manual dexterity, finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and constant verbal communication skills.
• Effective oral and written communication in English.
• Deductive and inductive reasoning abilities.
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team and manage time effectively.

Positions require a full range of body motion, including stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. The job is classified as very heavy work according to USDOL and requires manual and finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and continuous verbal communication.

Pay Range: $45.52 - $56.90 per hour. Salary may vary based on experience and licensing.
