Regional Educator

Family of Caring is hiring a Regional Nurse Educator to lead clinical education across our family of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in North Jersey. This is a Regional Nurse Educator role for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who has trained nursing teams inside a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and knows firsthand what it takes to keep clinical staff sharp, compliant, and confident.

For over 35 years, Family of Caring has been family-owned and family-run, with a track record of multiple deficiency-free New Jersey Department of Health surveys across our centers. As Regional Nurse Educator, you'll be the person our Directors of Nursing (DONs) rely on to onboard new nurses, roll out clinical training, and keep every building's nursing practice consistent and survey-ready. Prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) experience is required for this Regional Nurse Educator position, along with a current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Our centers are clustered in Bergen, Passaic, and Essex counties, so the Regional Nurse Educator is based centrally out of Paramus and travels between buildings during the week.

• Develop and deliver clinical education and competency programs for Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) across all facilities

• Run new-hire nursing orientation and annual competency validation, and keep training records current for state and federal survey readiness

• Partner with each facility's Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to identify skill gaps, address quality trends, and support performance improvement

• Lead in-services on infection control, wound care, medication administration, documentation, and regulatory updates as they roll out

• Serve as the clinical resource during surveys, mock surveys, and plan-of-correction follow-up

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey

• Prior experience as a Nurse Educator, Staff Development Coordinator, or Clinical Educator in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting is required

• Ability to travel between our North Jersey facilities (mileage reimbursed)

• $159,000–$170,000 annual salary
