The starting hourly rate is $18.50 USD per hour. The pay range is $18.50 USD - $27.75 USD per hour.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

• As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way when they need assistance to help solve their specific needs
• Inform guests of current promos, store activities, and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target
• Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
• Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
• Handle returns following register prompts; partner with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal
• Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, and DU Returns while maintaining compliance with applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)

• Effective communication, including using positive language and being attentive to guests’ needs
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames

• Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely and efficiently, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally without additional assistance
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable and prompt attendance
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout
