Job Summary
We’re growing our Northeast Healthcare, Education, and Not‑for‑Profit team and are looking for a Commercial Banker passionate about partnering with mission‑driven organizations. The Sr. Relationship Manager will be a key member of our Healthcare, Education & Not‑for‑Profit Team, covering clients and prospects throughout the State of New Jersey. HENFP is part of the Global Commercial Bank and focuses on specialized products for organizations with annual revenues starting at $50 million and higher.
Responsibilities- Manage an extensive portfolio of HENFP clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50 million and above to help companies save, borrow, and invest for current and future needs.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Understand and interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions and industry trends.
- Collaborate with domestic and international teammates—including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management—to facilitate client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with a variety of complex clients and prospects on industry topics, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers while utilizing leadership skills.

- 10+ years of experience in broad‑based commercial lending, corporate finance, or relationship management.
- Demonstrated management capability of an extensive portfolio of Healthcare, Education, and NFP clients with revenues greater than $50 million.
- Proven track record of prospecting new business, enhancing existing relationships, and closing profitable transactions.
- Professional sales skills, including planning, execution, and follow‑up of client meetings.
- Strong corporate finance, capital markets, and accounting acumen.
- Financial modeling experience and completion of formal credit training preferred.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading, and negotiating with a team of bank associates to solve client problems.
- Accreditation in Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 (must obtain SIE, Series 7 & 63 license within 180 days of start date).
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; MBA desirable.
- Existing knowledge of the market preferred.
- Active member or participation in local community organizations.
- Active networking contacts and Centers of Influence established in the market.
- Desire to work in a specialty team focused on Healthcare, Education & NFP institutions.
