Account Manager

Position Summary

• Execute strategies to maximize sales performance in the assigned geography using solution selling, territory management, and business planning. Field-based role; requires travel and some evening work for educational programs. Candidate should live within the territory.

• Meet overall sales objectives (quota) and drive key growth products via demand generation in targeted geography.
• Launch new products/service offerings and generate new equipment leads.
• Consistently demonstrate solution selling.
• Build and demonstrate technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise.
• Build relationships and service targeted hospitals/personnel to maintain and grow relevance and access within each account.
• Interact with customers per Zoetis promotional guidelines.
• Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan/Resource Allocation; implement available resources and follow up to maximize ROI.
• Meet field activity expectations (sales call activity) and invest in medical education programs.
• Develop and execute account/veterinarian call-cycle to meet reach/frequency expectations.

• Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
• 3–10 years of consultative sales experience.
• Demonstrated ability to use analytics/insights, manage expense budgets, work independently and as a self-starter in a team environment.
• Animal health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems.

• Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings.
