What do our Pest Control Technicians do?The primary purpose of this role is to provide industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. You will conduct thorough inspections, determine the type of infestation, apply appropriate treatments such as pesticides and traps, and provide preventative measures—all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating solutions to clients.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products—including chemicals, baits, and traps—while following safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and help expand product offerings.
- Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, and narrow aisles.
- Operate around animals, insects, and termites.
- Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals—training will be provided.
- Work both inside and outside in various weather conditions in company‑provided gear.
- Perform regular physical activity, including standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal the face).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
- Licenses and certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Openness to learning and becoming knowledgeable in pest control.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience is preferred.
Hourly: $18.00 – $23.00. Pay may vary based on location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment.
