Position Overview:

** We’re partnering with a precision manufacturing company to hire a CMM Programmer / Quality Specialist. This role is ideal for a hands‑on quality professional who enjoys working closely with manufacturing operations, solving complex inspection challenges, and ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.

You’ll serve as a key technical resource on the shop floor, taking ownership of CMM programming, dimensional inspection, calibration activities, and quality process improvements. This opportunity offers significant visibility across Operations, Engineering, and Leadership, with the potential for advancement into a Quality Team Leader or Quality Supervisor role for candidates with broader leadership experience.

The successful candidate will work with advanced inspection and modeling software including Cameo, Poly Works, NX12, and Solid Works while helping drive continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout the facility.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain CMM inspection programs

  • Set up and perform CMM inspections of manufactured components

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection requirements

  • Apply GD&T principles when evaluating manufactured components

  • Utilize precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify product conformance

  • Support and maintain calibration activities for inspection and measurement equipment

  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records

  • Identify nonconforming product and communicate quality concerns to Operations and Leadership

  • Assist with troubleshooting dimensional and manufacturing issues

  • Help establish and improve inspection methods, CMM programming practices, and quality processes

  • Provide technical guidance and support to machinists, operators, and production personnel regarding quality requirements

  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure consistent achievement of quality standards

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and process optimization

What We’re Looking For:
  • Hands-on experience programming and operating CMM equipment

  • Strong background in manufacturing quality and dimensional inspection

  • Ability to independently create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications

  • Working knowledge of GD&T principles and application

  • Experience performing both in-process and final inspections of manufactured components

  • Experience supporting calibration and control of measuring and inspection equipment

  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment

  • Experience with Cameo, Poly Works, NX12, Solid Works, or similar software preferred

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Leadership

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality activities on the manufacturing floor

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aerospace, precision machining, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments

  • Previous experience leading or directing quality activities

  • Experience training, mentoring, or developing inspectors and manufacturing personnel

  • Experience improving inspection processes, quality systems, and manufacturing standards

  • Previous experience as a Lead Inspector, Quality Technician, Quality Engineer, Quality Team Lead, or Quality Supervisor
