Learn more about who we are and what we do:  The Team You’ll be joining the Joybuy Compliance team, sitting at the heart of how we keep customers safe and earn their trust as we scale across Europe. This is a senior leadership role within the European Compliance pillar, working alongside — and complementary to — the Legal function. Where Legal owns legal advice, contracting and dispute risk, you will own the operational compliance and product safety agenda that keeps our products and operations compliant on the ground.

You’ll lead a network of country Compliance Business Partners across our European markets and a UK-based core compliance team with specialist coverage of trade compliance and the storage and handling of dangerous goods.

What You’ll Do Compliance Strategy & Leadership (Europe)
Define and own the European compliance and product safety strategy across our food and non-food e-commerce operations, aligned to business objectives, growth priorities and risk appetite across current and future markets.

Build and scale the European compliance operating model, organisational capabilities, governance structures and mechanisms needed to support sustainable growth while maintaining high standards of customer trust and regulatory compliance.

Act as the senior compliance leader for Europe and a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, partnering closely with Legal.

Leading the European Compliance Team Lead and develop a network of country Compliance Business Partners across the EU/UK countries of operation and the core compliance team, ensuring consistent compliance standards while reflecting local regulatory requirements in each market.

Build specialist capability, where needed and set the standards, playbooks and mechanisms.

Set clear accountabilities across the central team and country BP network, building leadership capability and a culture of ownership and accountability.
