District Student Support & Compliance Coordinator

Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Superintendent and/or the Chief Academic Officer, the District Student Support & Compliance Coordinator performs a variety of specialized duties to support student engagement, legal compliance, and alternative learning pathways. This role serves as the central office point of contact for the Greyhound Bridge Academy (virtual learning), Infinite Campus data integrity, truancy court proceedings, and Volunteer Coordination.
The coordinator collaborates extensively with district administrators, building principals, school safety teams, and external state and judicial agencies to ensure educational stability and student success.
- Virtual Academy Support (Greyhound Bridge Academy)
- Co-manage student onboarding and orientation with certified staff.
- Serve as the primary frontline contact for troubleshooting basic student/family technology issues.
- Monitor daily attendance and engagement metrics within the online learning platform.
- Facilitate proactive, consistent communication between virtual academy students, parents, and central office staff.
- Continuously monitor student academic progress, alerting administration when interventions are needed.
- Coordinate and schedule mandated in-person testing windows for virtual students by collaborating closely with Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs).
- Participate in regular alignment meetings with Greyhound Bridge Academy staff and school administrators.
- Infinite Campus (SIS) District Support
- Assist the DPP and building clerks with student attendance data reconciliation and auditing.
- Investigate and resolve complex district-wide registration, enrollment, and boundary issues.
- Generate, analyze, and submit state and local reports regarding enrollment, truancy, and demographic data.
- Court Liaison
- Prepare and file formal legal paperwork with the court system on behalf of the district.
- Review weekly local court dockets to identify students actively involved in the justice system.
- Securely compile and share relevant academic, attendance, and disciplinary records with judges, defense counsel, and prosecutors as legally permitted.
- Ensure court-ordered notifications regarding a student's legal status are communicated to building principals and designated teachers in a strictly confidential, secure manner.
- Attend weekly court sessions, representing the district, and provide immediate debriefs to school and district administrators.
- Partner directly with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), Court Designated Workers (CDWs), and local judges to build re-engagement and academic transition plans for students returning from out-of-home placements.
- DPP Assistant
- Determine the causes of irregular attendance or truancy through documented contact with parents or guardians.
- Assist in implementing Truancy Diversion Programs and managing alternative-to-suspension/expulsion programs.
- Act as the district's designated Truancy Officer, preparing and filing formal legal paperwork with the court system on behalf of the district.
- Prepare and submit accurate attendance, census, and drop-out reports mandated by state and federal laws.
- Conduct non-threatening interviews with students/parents who are choosing to quit school to offer interventions and options.
- Coordinate, monitor, and record Home/Hospital instruction and Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) arrangements.
- Act as a liaison with outside groups, including the court system, local health departments, Family Resource and Youth Service Centers (FRYSCs), and local law enforcement.
- District Health Manager
- Work with District Health Coordinator to ensure compliance with state mandates and facilitate student access to essential care.
- Enforce district health and wellness policies per the Kentucky Department of Education and state safety laws.
- Coordinate district-wide staff training for mandated health protocols, including administering insulin, glucagon, and seizure management.
- Mobilize local resources by coordinating with local health departments, Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC), and regional healthcare professionals.
- Order supplies and materials for schools, school nurses, etc.
- Home Visits & Volunteer Coordination
- Conduct and participate in student home visits as requested by school-level or central office teams to investigate truancy, deliver resources, or assess student needs.
- Strictly adhere to district safety policies, home-visit protocols, and confidentiality agreements to maintain professional boundaries and protect student data.
- Work in lockstep with the district's School Safety Coordinator to align student intervention efforts with building security and threat-assessment teams, in accordance with the mandates of the Kentucky School Safety and Resiliency Act.
