Industrial Maintenance Technician II 1st Shift

Full-time Permanent AM Shift (1st Shift, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Base Pay starts at $30-$35 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex electro‑mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
  • Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives.
  • Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues.
  • Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components.
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical preventative maintenance tasks following instructions.
  • Enter all work completed in computer‑based maintenance program.
  • Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms.
  • Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA.
  • Train Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent related experience.
  • 3‑7 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out procedures.
  • Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
  • Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off‑hours and emergency overtime as required.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations.
  • Ability to assist in training Level I and II technicians.
  • Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining).
  • Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting.
  • Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to show attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical Demands
  • Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or light construction equipment, forklift trucks, platform lifts, etc.
  • Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
  • Regularly required to walk; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear. Frequently required to stand and sit for long periods, as well as occasionally be required to climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Exposure to variable temperatures as impacted by the weather, chemicals, and rotating shifts.
