Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

We are recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee the repair of Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment. The role utilizes commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and a range of hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs in a fast‑paced retail environment.

• Maintain and repair facility refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete repair jobs.
• Receive and document repair work orders through the work‑order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 lb, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 2 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification.
• 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program completion.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
