We are a family owned concrete down construction company, we are currently looking for a qualified Foreman to oversee on-site operations, ensuring our projects are executed to the highest standards.
Role OverviewThe Sitework Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, managing work crews, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. This role requires effective collaboration with Project Managers and strong communication skills. A crucial aspect of this position is to ensure proper grading of the site and to guarantee that dirt is placed correctly the first time, thereby minimizing unnecessary handling.
Key Responsibilities Site Oversight- Direct and coordinate daily activities on the site to promote efficient progress and compliance with project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure the site is accurately graded and that dirt is initially placed in the correct locations to avoid unnecessary movement.
- Work closely with Project Managers to meet project goals and client expectations.
- Supervise and guide work crews, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Provide training and support to crew members on operational procedures and equipment usage.
- Make hiring and termination decisions for crew members as necessary.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure that all work meets established company and client quality standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies in the work being performed.
- Maintain clear communication with Project Managers and clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Complete and submit daily paperwork, including progress reports, time records, and equipment logs.
- Coordinate the efficient delivery and use of materials, equipment, and labor on-site.
- Ensure that all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with company standards.
- 3-5 years of experience in the sitework industry, with a background in supervisory roles.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, equipment operation, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
- Skilled in safely and effectively using construction equipment and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
