Location:
Paris, Texas (Onsite, with periodic travel to regional centers)

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join a community-based oncology center that treats approximately 40 patients per day. The center features active HDR and PSI programs with over 300 HDR treatments annually. The Medical Physicist will work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, and CT Technologists to ensure high-quality patient care and safe operation of radiation therapy equipment.
The role may require occasional travel to other regional centers to support staff coverage and collaborative initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate all clinical equipment for performance, appropriateness, reliability, and lifespan; make recommendations regarding obsolescence or replacement.
- Design, implement, and maintain quality management programs for external beam radiotherapy and procedural compliance.
- Assist in managing radiation oncology information systems, including developing usage protocols, maintenance, and data storage.
- Oversee radiation safety programs, including employee monitoring, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
- Lead or participate in clinical projects to improve departmental processes, patient treatments, and operational efficiency.
- Treatment planning systems:
Eclipse, Oncentra - HDR planning and treatment
- ROIS management: ARIA, Mosaiq
- Procedures: SBRT, SRS
- Completion of a CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics
- Valid Texas Medical Board license
- American Board of Radiology certification or board eligible
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience as a certified medical physicist
- Strong knowledge of SRS, SBRT, HDR procedures, and Varian linear accelerators
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative team player with effective communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
