The role

As a Lead Cloud Engineer (all genders), you will contribute to the design, development, and support of cloud-based solutions within the Oracle Retail / Xstore POS ecosystem. You bring strong technical experience, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to building reliable and scalable systems that support business-critical operations.

Role responsibilities

* Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools

* Develop and maintain backend services and automation scripts

* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient deployments

* Provide L2/L3 support, including incident troubleshooting and resolution

* Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings clearly

* Collaborate with engineers, operations, and business teams to support Oracle Retail solutions

* Manage source code using version control systems and follow best practices

* Support the stability, performance, and security of cloud-based environments

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

* Experience with scripting languages such as Power Shell and/or Shell

* Backend development experience using Python, Java, or similar languages

* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and/or Ansible)

* Experience using version control systems such as Git Hub or Bitbucket

* Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or Git Lab)

* Proven experience providing L2/L3 production support, including troubleshooting and RCA documentation

* Upper-intermediate English level (spoken and written)

Nice to have qualifications

The following are beneficial but not required:

* Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

* Experience with Xstore POS or Oracle Retail solutions

* Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or cloud-native monitoring services

* Experience working in a retail or enterprise systems environment

* A collaborative, supportive, and conscientious working style

* Interest in continuously improving system reliability and operational processes
