Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of the College's grant portfolio, including researching and identifying new local, state, federal, and private foundation funding opportunities; assisting program deans, directors, and faculty with drafting, editing, and assembling competitive grant proposals, narratives, and budgets; and developing and maintaining a comprehensive grants calendar to track Final date to receive applicationss, award periods, reporting due dates, and renewal windows across all active grants.

This position manages post-award administration of assigned grants, including budget monitoring, allowable-cost review, and coordination with the Business Office on drawdowns and expenditure tracking, and prepares and submits timely, accurate interim and final programmatic, financial, and narrative reports to funders and regulatory agencies. This position monitors grant compliance with funder terms and applicable state and federal regulations, maintains organized and audit-ready grant files, and serves as liaison between grant-funded program staff, the Business Office, and college leadership.

This position serves as the College's lead administrator for the Carl

D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins V) grant, including coordinating the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA), developing and submitting the Perkins V Local Application/Local Plan, monitoring the Perkins budget and approved expenditures, and preparing required Perkins performance and expenditure reports on the state's schedule. This position provides training and technical assistance to faculty and staff on grant compliance and documentation standards, supports the annual and single audit processes, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, education, or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in grant writing, grants management, or grant compliance administration required. Working knowledge of federal grant regulations (2 CFR Part 200) and/or state grant administration requirements preferred. Experience in a community college or other public higher education setting, and direct experience administering a Carl Perkins grant or other Texas Education Agency/THECB-funded program, preferred.

Ability to plan, prioritize, meet deadlines, communicate effectively and appropriately, interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrate accuracy, initiative, and organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and comfort learning grant management or financial systems. Excellent problem-solving skills in high pressure situations, and strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and accurate proposals and reports.

Salary:
The annual salary range for this position is $80,272 - $97,893 and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon education and experience of the chosen candidate.

Fringe Benefits:
This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
