The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide patient care by completing assessment and plan-of-care interventions, documenting care, and supporting patients with daily activities while collaborating with RNs and physicians.
Essential Functions- Contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Document patient care provided.
- Assist RN with the development of plan of care.
- Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Current state LVN license and an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- ASLS certification preferred.
